Nigeria Insurgency & Security Conflict Map

A citation-driven data platform documenting Nigeria’s ongoing counter-insurgency campaign against Boko Haram and its splinters (ISWAP, JAS), Sahelian bandit groups, and cross-border spillover from JNIM. Every claim resolves to a named, dated source — where sources disagree, this platform shows the range rather than picking a winner.

What this is — and isn’t

This is a documentation and research project, not advocacy and not operational intelligence. It does not independently verify militant claims — those are always shown labeled and attributed, never presented as fact. Figures from different source types (government, journalism, NGO trackers, militant statements) often disagree; this platform shows that disagreement rather than resolving it. See Sources & Methodology for the full provenance system and known limitations.
